Detailing organelle division and segregation in Plasmodium falciparum

This paper describes in detail division of the mitochondrion and apicoplast in the malaria parasite, Plasmodium falciparum. The raw images underlying the figures in this paper are available in this collection. A P. falciparum parasite line harbouring a fluorescent mitochondrial marker was generated and used for fluorescent confocal imaging of different developmental stages of the parasite. These images were used to reconstruct different mitochondrial division and development stages. This data collection contains the raw fluorescent images with different development stages of the parasite mitochondrion.
