This data was collected and combined as part of the research project which led to the monograph "Periodical Famines" by Lindsay Janssen (Indiana University Press, 2025). The list consists of a combination of items published in periodicals, and found in existing scholarship and in online and on-site periodical archives. The list contains creative works (mainly prose fiction and poetry) and non-fiction (news articles, letters to the editor, special correspondence, essays and opinion pieces). The individual postdoctoral project which formed the foundation for this research, was carried out between 2017 and 2019 (affiliation: University College Dublin, funding: Irish Research Council, Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship).
