This is the dataset associated with the article "Acoustic characteristics of non-native Lombard speech in the DELNN corpus". We were interested in examining native and non-native plain speech (speech produced in quiet) and Lombard speech (speech produced in noise). For this purpose we created the Dutch English Lombard Native Non-native (DELNN) corpus. The DELNN corpus includes 30 Dutch females producing plain and Lombard speech in native Dutch and in non-native English and nine American-English females producing plain and Lombard speech in native English. The stimuli that the speakers recorded were question-answer pairs in which target words were embedded. We manipulated whether the target words received contrastive focus or not. From this corpus we extracted word durations, and voice onset times as well as the intensity and spectral Center of Gravity of the entire answer.
