Head gestures as precursors of L2 prosodic focus marking

This collection contains the raw dataset and materials used by Lieke van Maastricht (Radboud University) and Núria Esteve-Gibert (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) in their study on the use of prosody and head gestures by Catalan learners of English when marking discourse focus. The original data included video recordings made via Zoom during the Corona pandemic using a simple speech elicitation task. The data shared here consists of the processed data resulting from acoustic and gesture annotation of the video materials, the stimuli used, demographic questionnaire data, analysis scripts, and the research protocol.
